Kristin Fontichiaro

Meet Kristin Fontichiaro, School Library Monthly blogger, SLM "Nudging Toward Inquiry" columnist, and frequent SLM author. Kristin is a clinical assistant professor and coordinator of the school library media program at the University of Michigan School of Information. She is also an author of several books with Libraries Unlimited.

Barbara Ripp Safford

Barbara Ripp Safford has recently retired as associate professor at the School of Library Media Studies, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls and as long-time author of the “Reach for Reference” column for SLM. She has been a middle school and elementary school library media specialist in Maryland, a high school media specialist in Ohio, and a public library director in Pennsylvania. The interview with Barbara is the first in the series to be posted.

In 2008-2009 was the celebration of the 25th anniversary of School Library Media Activities Monthly (now under the name School Library Monthly). Hear from long-time author, Barbara Safford as she is interviewed, providing an interesting overview of her experience as a school library professional and as long-time contributor to SLMAM.
